“I got to Know Amy through a mutual friend and loved how enthusiastic she sounded about weddings and creating the perfect hairstyles for her clients for that special occasion. I got married on 26th April and asked Amy to work her magic on me and my two bridesmaids. From the point of my hair trial right up until the wedding Amy was there to answer any questions and was always so helpful. The hair style I went for was half up and down with a side tiara. Amy prepared my clip in hair extensions to give me more length and I was so amazed at the effect it had. For one of my bridesmaids we chose a side bun and the other with short hair was given lots of volume and a lovely hair band. The girls were so pleased with how they looked.
This is going to sound really vain, but I couldn’t stop staring at my hair and all my curls. All my guests commented on how fantastic we all looked. “I found Amy’s website on an internet search after looking at various options for my wedding. I’m Indian but with quite light skin and didn’t really want the traditional heavy Asian makeup. I spoke to Amy over the phone and discussed the sort of thing I wanted – smoky eyes and neutral lips – and Amy was really enthusiastic and gave me a lots of ideas. I sent a few photos of the kind of hairstyle and makeup I wanted and even though they were all really different (and probably quite confusing!) Amy “got” what I wanted. I was really pleased with the trial hair was fab and just how I had imagined it and the makeup looked nice and just needed a bit of tweaking round colours for the smokiness of my eyes. On the wedding day itself, Amy was mega efficient – she did both my sister’s (maid of honor) and my hair and makeup in about 3 and a half hours! We were both really chuffed with the final effects. My hair was curls pinned into an updo but not formal or overly polished/slick. It had a modern, relaxed look that I loved and I got many compliments. My makeup really complimented my outfit and stayed put all day…and my skin looked flawless in the photos!
I also had Amy do my hair for a post-wedding celebration party two weeks after getting married which was a slightly different style to the wedding day – curled and pinned into a loose side bun which also looked lovely. I am so pleased that I found Amy, her style was just what I was looking for and I’m really happy with how I looked for my wedding.
